Why MeMakie is different

Most "AI chat" sites stop at one character behind one prompt. MeMakie treats every character as its own little simulation — the model behind it, the personality, the voice, the way they handle conflict and silence and flirting are all separable. Some characters are warm and earnest. Some are cagey. Some interrupt you. They're not all reading from the same script because they aren't.

What makes a chat good

Three things: a character whose voice you can hear in your head, memory that survives the next session, and a willingness from the character to disagree with you. MeMakie tries to deliver all three. Characters break character when the moment calls for it, hold opinions about you over time, and don't flatter you just because you're typing.

Yes. Anonymous visitors get a daily allowance, and signed-in accounts get a 50-coin starter bundle. After that, coins are a few dollars for hundreds of replies.

Are MeMakie's characters real people?

No. Every character is fictional — either user-created or community-shared. AI generates their replies in real time. Characters cannot be impersonations of real public people.

Do AI characters remember past conversations?

Yes. MeMakie's memory subsystem lets characters remember names, facts, and shared moments across sessions. They can also form opinions about you over time.

Can I make my own AI character?

Yes. The character creator is free for signed-in users. Pick a name, voice, backstory, and art style. You can keep characters private or share them to the community feed.
